The Job

Our schools are now looking for enthusiastic, positive and qualified English teachers who have a genuine desire to teach young learners aged 3 to 12 years old. Established in 1997, our school has more than 40 campuses across China and Taiwan. We aim to provide the best quality English education that we can offer. We offer a relaxing and accommodating work environment that also stimulates creativity and personal growth. As we are about to expand the number of schools in China, we are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to be a part of our team. Our young learners have the opportunity to learn in modern, safe, all English environment. We also provide a series of well researched and well structured curriculum which follows the North American standards. We provide education which has a balanced distribution on speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. We encourage our foreign teachers to create a fun and educational learning environment. With a maximum class size of 15 students, the foreign teachers and the young learners have more opportunity to interact and be acquainted with one another. A local teaching assistant will be available in every classroom to assist with the administrative side of running a class such as communicating with parents.

We put great emphasis on quality education and we achieve that through our professional teachers training, on going management support and promotional opportunities given to all the teachers.

The Curriculum

We offer two different programs for students: Early Starter Programs are for young learners aged 3 to 6 years old. It uses a series of English course materials developed by our very own research and development department. The textbooks cover areas such as phonics, vocabularies and conversation. A large part of the program is music where we developed over 60 songs for young learners. The lyrics of the songs are all associated with the content of our conversation books. The other program is the Elementary Program which is for older students between 7 to 15 years old. The course materials consist of a series of English textbooks developed by McGraw Hill, an American publishing company. The subjects learned are Spelling, Language Arts, Phonics, Dolch Sight Words, Reading and Writing.

Shanghai

Known as the Pearl of the Orient, Shanghai is truly an international metropolis in every sense of the word. The most vibrant and progressive city in China, Shanghai is the economic and cultural center, blending an incredible mix of Eastern and Western culture. On one side of the mighty Yangtze River flowing through Shanghai is the Pu Dong district, rural farm land just 20 years ago, it is now the financial and commercial hub with skyscrapers stretching ever higher. Along the western bank of the river, the iconic Bund is a reminder of Shanghais colonial past featuring grand European architecture. 

Beijing

Beijing, capital of the Peoples Republic of China, is the nations political, economic, cultural, educational and international trade and communication center. Located in northern China, close to the port city of Tianjin and partially surrounded by Hebei province, Beijing continues to be an exciting place for all things music, fashion and art with plenty of events and shows to attend. 

Nanjing

Located on the south bank of the Yangtze River, Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province, is one of the most delightful destinations in China. Known as the capital city of six dynasties in ancient Chinese history, it has a brilliant cultural heritage. Great changes have taken place in the city. Modern highways and railways connect the city with most major cities throughout the country. Transport in the city is very convenient with the new metro service in addition to taxis, public buses, tourist special lines and other means of transport. Dazzling shopping malls and department stores can be found in the commercial areas of the city with stocked plenty of international brand names. 

Xiamen

Located at the southeast coast of China, Xiamen is a tourist city of Fujian Province famous for its attractive coastal beauty. The name of Xiamen was consequently given, which means a gate of China. As one of the forerunners of the special economic zones of China, Xiamen mainly consisting of Xiamen Island, Gulangyu Island, the north bank area of the Jiulong River and Tong an County, is connected with the mainland by the Xiamen Bridge. The city is well known for its beautiful natural scenery, fresh air and the clean environment.

Chengdu
Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan Province, which is known as the Heavenly State (Tian Fu Zhi Guo). Being the natural habitat of cute giant pandas, Chengdu is located in the west of Sichuan Basin and in the center of Chengdu Plain. It covers a total area of 12.3 thousand square kilometers with a population of over 11 million.

Chongqing
Chongqing is situated on the upper reaches of the Yangtze river in Sichuan province in the west of China, not far from Tibet. It is a large and fast changing city, known as Mountain City, spread around a mountain, you will be always walking either up or down. It really is a city of changes, mixing modern development with local traditions and small local neighbourhoods.

Main Responsibilities
o Maximum of 25 teaching hours per week
o 40 working hours per week 
o Plan lessons and classroom activities
o Write monthly reports on the progress of each student
o Weekend classes with 2 days off during the week
o Assist in schools promotional events
o Conduct demo classes to potential new students
o Attend staff meeting and teacher training
o Teach students fluency in verbal, listening, reading and written English
o Introduce students to western cultures and festivals

Compensation
o Excellent salary: 14,200 to 16,000 RMB (2,100 to 2,300 USD) per month
o Free housing OR monthly housing allowance: 3,000 to 4,000 RMB (depending on city)
o Quarterly performance bonus: 5,000 RMB o Heath insurance provided
o Contract completion bonus: 9,000 RMB for 1 year or 23,000 RMB for 2 years
o Relocation allowance: 1,500 to 1,750 RMB
o 12 days national holidays plus 5 paid personal holidays
o Legal Z work visa and work permit
o Lunch and dinner provided during working schedule
o Annual staff trip
o Professional pre job training with on going program supervision

Requirements
o Bachelors degree

o Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa 
o 2 years of teaching experience post graduation
o Fluency in oral and written English
