English Teacher

Start date: Immediately (2-3 months for Chinese visa processing)

Job Description:
-Contract Duration: 15 months
-Working hours: 40 hours per week (including course admin)
-Teaching hours:
Off Peak - 20 hours per week
Peak- 26 hours per week
-Probation period - 3 months

We are looking for international teachers who are capable of teaching children ages 3-18 in an engaging, safe, and effective manner. Teachers will teach different components of the English language (i.e. reading, writing, speaking, listening, phonics), and are free to use a variety of resources to do so.

Outside of teaching hours, teachers have admin hours as well. These hours can include lesson planning, marking papers, filling out attendance and class logs, communicating with Progress Advisers, Director of Studies, and parents; etc.

There is a large focus on professional development, so teachers will have opportunities to lead training sessions, complete projects for their centers, and become certified in different teaching fields with Cambridge University. Staff are also required to attend meetings and trainings provided throughout the year.

Teachers should be good team players who are capable of working in a multicultural center, and with individuals from all backgrounds.

Requirements:
A native or native-like English speaker
Have a bachelor’s degree from any College/University
Pass a criminal background check
Pass a medical exam
Between the ages of 21-45 years old.
