Hi, we are Maple Leaf English School, owned by two Canadians, located in Minas Gerais in the southeast of Brazil.   We are looking for visiting foreign native English speakers (American ,Canadian, British or Australian – non-native-speaking  applications not accepted) who would like to teach English with us for 5 months or longer in a quiet town (next semester is August to December).

We are looking for a sociable, adaptive, non-smoking people person – with teaching experience and a university degree.   Communication skills and travel experience are a must.  Female preferred.

We offer free shared accommodation (with one roommate), plus salary.

The weekly teaching hours will be 26.

Salary will be R$2650 a month.  (Exchange rate today U$1 = R$3.30)

We offer a R$2650 bonus at the end of the contract to help cover airfare.

Our students’ ages go from 7 to 70 and classes are divided by age groups with a max of 6 kids and 5 adults.

It’s a great opportunity to meet new friends and learn another culture and language.
