The Job

We are now looking for dedicated English & Subject teachers to teach at our well-established school in Beijing. We are an internationally focused private school serving students from kindergarten to high school.

Our international private school was originally founded in 2005, and over the years the school¡¦s reputation grew along with enrollment demands as we expanded to include students nationwide. We have a teaching staff of over 360 that serve over 1,350 students from Pre-K to Grade 12 in both English and Chinese tracks. Additionally, we now we have a newly established high school campus to meet the huge demand for English education in Beijing to prepare students for international paths.

The school has always been at the forefront in China for educational and cutting-edge instructional strategies. We implement the latest educational practices while utilizing modern facilities and a highly trained team of foreign and Chinese administrators, teachers and staff.

English Track & Chinese Track 

We offer 2 types of tracks - English Track and Chinese Track, focusing respectively on preparing students for IB programs and excellent high schools and universities abroad in the US, Canada and elsewhere. The Chinese track programs are centered on training students for the top universities in Beijing and throughout China. The major difference is that the courses on the English Track are conducted 90% in English.

Main Responsibilities
o Monday to Friday schedule (7:45 to 16:30) with lunch breaks (weekends off)
o Maximum of 20 teaching hours per week (overtime compensation will be provided if extra hours are needed)
o Maximum of 20 admin hours per week 
o Student ages: varies by position (from kindergarten to high school) 
o Teach English and academic topics (math, physic, biology, science etc.) to middle & high school students
o Prepare for each class with written lesson plans and teaching materials in advance
o Utilize the best practices methodology and principles from cutting edge pedagogy as a guide to lessons
o Be responsible for the students¡¦ welfare and development
o Actively pursue your personal development through workshop attendance, reading, peer observations
o Be able to be a part of a team 


Requirements
o Bachelor's degree or above (degree in field related to the subject to be taught) 
o Native English speakers from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, South Africa, Jamaica and Singapore (elementary school positions for Music, Art and Shadow are open to Chinese teachers with fluent English)
o Teaching license required
o Experience in teaching the subject you are applying for is required: (1 to 4 years experience depending on position)
o Professional, dynamic and culturally aware
o Good mental and physical health and clean criminal record 
o Clean criminal record


Compensation
o Excellent base salary: 18,000 RMB or above (gross) per month (degree with certification and exp) 
o Excellent base salary: 20,000 RMB or above (gross) per month (Master's degree, certification and exp) 
o Excellent base salary: 22,000 RMB or above (gross) per month (administrator with Master's degree, State certification and exp) 
o Airport pickup plus 2 weeks free stay at our clubhouse
o Apartment hunt assistance provided with housing allowance OR on-campus accommodation (low rent but are subject to availability)
o One round trip ticket for employee and each family member (one-time only and reimbursed within the first year of on boarding)
o Relocation allowance: 1,000 USD / single, 2,000 USD / family (one-time only per employment) 
o Duty allowance: 10,800 to 18,000 RMB per year (will only be paid during the 9 months when the school is in session)
o Coaching stipend: 2,000 RMB per semester (this bonus is for after school games) 
o After school class stipend: 150 RMB / hour (usually scheduled within teacher¡¦s workday and allow students to sponsor clubs or teach electives like ultimate frisbee, chess and photography) 
o Summer vacation (1st July to mid August) & winter vacation (28 days including Chinese New Year) & 1 day off for Christmas plus 5 to 6 National holidays and 5 days personal leave annually 
o Legal 'Z' work visa provided 
o Medical insurance provided including spouse, children and parents (parents are not covered in North America)
o Long term disability insurance provided
o Children's school tuition fee subsidy (70% tuition discount, but parents will still need to pay full rate for children¡¦s lunch, books and activity fees) o Travel allowance: 1,000 RMB per month 
o Annual salary raise for all employees (around 10%) based on performance evaluations 
o Performance bonus provided annually: 50 to 120% of monthly salary 
o Free in-service training offered periodically by publishers or special trainers 
o Professional development allowance: up to 100% reimbursement for professional development or AP Singapore Math, or other curricular trainings
o Professional development tuition reimbursement: up to 60% tuition reimbursement for staff completing additional certification, masters or doctorate degrees (must have worked here for at least 1 year with good performance evaluations)
