Osaka English Village: Instructors Needed

Full Time EFL Instructors for English Village

The Osaka English Village (www.englishvillage.co.jp) is looking for experienced and professional teachers to serve as English Facilitators at its facility located in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture. OEV is a unique facility that utilizes real-world situation rooms to immerse students in an American English environment. Working under the direction of an English speaking academic supervisor, instructors make use of (and adapt) existing materials and lesson plans in ways to encourage communicative, real-world exchanges between visitors and instructional staff.

Prior experience in non-traditional classroom settings, and/or a background in drama/theatre, physical education, music, or English education background is preferred. Full-time teachers on a one-year contract teach eight hours per day (with a one hour unpaid lunch break) and will receive paid pre-service orientation and training, 25 vacation days, 5 sick days, two continuous days off per week (which may not include weekend days), and a 100,000 Yen completion bonus. Salaries range from 210,000 Yen - 250,000 Yen per month. Transportation stipends of up to 40,000 Yen per month are provided to all instructors, as is a one-way flight ticket from to Japan. Visa processing and housing costs are the responsibility of the instructor.
