The Job

Our Kindergarten warmly welcomes English teachers who wish to teach in an ecological, international, and multi cultural environment in Suzhou.

Our international kindergarten is located in the beautiful Suzhou Science and Technology Town, surrounded by hills and rivers. There are 12 classrooms in total, and all of them are equipped with advanced technology equipments and multimedia teaching devices. The well equipped kitchen, library, creative art room and specialized functional classrooms provide the most comfortable learning and living environment for our children.

The Curriculum

Our international kindergarten applies a special model, combing two foreign teachers, one Chinese teacher and one child-care worker together. Chinese teachers are professional in preschool education with abundant experience. Each class contains about 20 children.

The Twinklekidz curriculum covers six domains, including aesthetics and creative expression, discovery of the world, language and literacy, motor skills development, numeracy, social and emotional development. The system consists of bilingual theme-based core courses, life skill courses, practical courses and extended courses, which is tailored for children to help them grow naturally and individually.

Suzhou The City

Suzhou is a renowned cultural, historic and tourist city, located just 25 minutes north of Shanghai on the fast train. The city is located in the southeast of Jiangsu Province, bordering Shanghai on the east. Written historical records indicate that Suzhou has a history of over 4000 years and the city is now best known around China for its unique and plentiful gardens and its many streams and canals, which have earned it the nickname Venice of the East.

Suzhou is widely known in China as being one of the most livable cities in China, with a buzzing expat community and friendly locals. You will not enjoy only good food there, but also cosmopolitan atmosphere of nightlife activities including cafes, bars, teahouses, theatres and cinemas.

 

Main Responsibilities
o Maximum of 20 teaching hours per week
o Maximum of 20 admin hours per week
o Class sizes: 20 students 
o Student ages: 3 to 6 years old 
o Monday to Friday work schedule with lunch break: 8:15 to 16:45
o Lesson planning, creating course outlines 
o Deliver classes in a fun and creative way 

Compensation
o Highly competitive salary: 15,000 - 18,000 RMB per month gross (depending on qualification and experience) 
o Free accommodation on campus or 3,800 RMB monthly housing allowance provided
o Flight reimbursement on contract completion: 10,000 RMB (annually) 
o Airport pick up 
o Travel allowance provided: 2,200 RMB annually 
o Public holidays (full pay), 2 months summer vacation (half pay) plus 1 month of winter vacation (full pay) provided 
o Legal Z work visa provided 
o Medical & accident insurance provided 
o Free school bus transport 
o Ongoing professional training and development 

Requirements
o Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and South Africa
o BA degree required

o 2 years teaching experience young learners required 
o Highly responsible team player with hard working ethics 
o A recorded demo class is required to demonstrate the teachers teaching skills (or a demo will be required during the online interview)
