The Job

Our school is now in search of professional English teachers to teach at our high end kindergarten in Chongqing. We focus on teaching engaging, communicative English classes to young learner students aged from 3 to 6 years old.

Our education group is led by Mr. Wu Minlan, a Harvard University Master of Intercultural Studies. We have a team of creative and experienced professional teachers to deliver cross cultural courses. Our students learn through a variety of engaging activities that stimulate their mind and develop their linguistic abilities. Teachers make use of songs, games, activities, drawing, bookwork and a range of other approaches.

Teachers will be teaching on a Monday to Friday work basis. Our focus has always been on providing quality lessons to young learners. We recognize that good lessons require good teachers therefore we provide excellent training, ongoing development as well as opportunities for promotion and advancement.

Our school has a dedicated staff of trained ESL teachers, all of which are native English speakers from the United States, the UK, Canada and New Zealand. They are assisted by the dedicated support staff of local Chinese Teaching Assistants.

Chongqing The City
Chongqing is situated on the upper reaches of the Yangtze river in Sichuan province in the west of China, not far from Tibet. It is a large and fast changing city, known as Mountain City, spread around a mountain, you will be always walking either up or down. It really is a city of changes, mixing modern development with local traditions and small local neighbourhoods. Chongqing is endowed with rich natural scenery, boasting mountains, rivers, forests springs, waterfalls, gorges and caves. It also showcases the area is rich cultural heritage, including the minority Bayu culture, Three Gorges and the modern, developed city itself-including the Yangtze River Cruises. 

Chongqing is especially well known for its food. People love to eat here and you will find thousands of restaurants featuring all kinds of delicious dishes to feast on. Most famous if the spicy hot pot. Chili pepper, sesame, fermented black beans, scallions, ginger, garlic, wine, soy sauce and an array of flavorings are used in almost 40 different cooking methods. 

 

Main Responsibilities
o 40 working hours per week (evenly allocated between teaching and administration) 
o Monday to Friday work schedule 
o Lesson planning
o Maximum of 12 students per class 
o Student age: 3 to 6 year olds 

Compensation
o Excellent salary: 14,000 to 17,000 RMB per month (depending on qualification and experience) 
o Monthly housing allowance: 1,500 RMB 
o Airport pick up and 3 to 5 days hotel stay provided 
o Flight allowance of 6,000 RMB provided on completion of 12 month contract 
o Contract completion bonus: 5,000 RMB 
o One meal per working day provided 
o Attendance bonus: 100 RMB per month 
o Legal Z work visa provided
o Health insurance provided 
o 10 paid personal holidays annually plus public holidays

Requirements
o Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Ireland 
o Bachelors degree or above required
