Upper Level High School English, Science and Math Teacher needed in Nong Khai, Thailand

Available teaching positions  at a local high school in Nong Khai, north-eastern Thailand. You will be working as part of the English/International Program. The high school has around 3000 students and is situated a couple of kilometres from the city centre.  Nong Khai is located on the the Mekong River river on the Thai/Laos border across from Vientiane.

Available Positions:
1 Science Teacher
1 Math Teacher
1 English Teacher

Teacher will teach at least 15 contact hours per week but no more than 20 contact hours per week.  Science and math candidates must have at least a Bachelors degree in related field.  Non-native speakers will be considered for science and math provided they have a neutral accent, teaching experience, and can provide a TOEIC/TOEFL score.

This is an 11 month contract starting ASAP and ending March 31st, 2019. The starting salary is 30,000 baht+ (depending on experience and qualifications). School will assist in obtaining the non-immigrant B visa and work permit. 

About Nong Khai:

Nong Khai is a sleepy, idyllic city. It is situated on the banks of the Mekong River. You can clearly see Laos on the other side, with a short bus trip to the capital city there, Vientiane. Nong Khai was once ranked the 9th safest city in the world, which is impressive for a relatively unknown spot, and the source of frequent reminders by proud locals! The city has around three times as many Buddhist temples than other Thai cities, creating a more innocent environment and a decided lack of the low-brow bars seen in other areas. The Mekong is backbone of this rural setting, with an esplanade stretching several kilometres along the riverbank, complemented with many local restaurants, cafes, bars, and waterfront housing. This stretch also features the undercover Ta Sadet market, running several hundred metres alongside the river. Fifty kilometres away is the larger city, Udon Thani, easily accessed by frequent shuttle buses. Udon has an amazing array of restaurants and a massive shopping centre. There are branches of Tops and Vila markets here, and a selection of English soundtrack movies at two different cinemas.
