Position Overview:
The English Language Instructor position is responsible for teaching English to adults at various levels (elementary, pre-intermediate, intermediate and advanced). Apart from teaching hours, instructors are expected to prepare lessons, exams, submit weekly reports for programs, for corporate clients and attend instructors' meetings.
Role and responsibilities
•Design supplementary materials;
•Punctual delivery of training for on-site or off-site programs;
•Follow the designed syllabus for the course;
•Provide feedback and reporting to supervisors as necessary;
•Maintain daily attendance and performance records
•Submit weekly student performance reports as required;
•Attend instructors' meetings;
•Correct homework, quizzes and all assignments;
•Assist in activities designed for student development;
•Complete a timesheet for payment on a monthly basis.
Qualifications
•Must be a fluent English speaker (formative years spent in an English-speaking country); TESL/TEFL /CELTA certification is required;
•Relevant college degree;
•Excellent English communication, organizational, time management and presentation skills;
•Enthusiastic, committed, and a team player.
•Knowledge of English language teaching methods, approaches, and materials,
Contract information:
•AMIDEAST offers instructors a fixed term contract position where salary is based on an hourly rate paid by the end of each month for the number of hours assigned in programs or classes.
•AMIDEAST does not offer accommodation for instructors
•All incomes are subject to Jordanian income and Social Security deductions per the Jordanian Labor law.
•For American citizens; a deduction for FICA (Federal Insurance Contributions Act) on all earning as required by U.S. law.
