Teach English for a Year in Taiwan

WHO WE ARE:

An English school located in Changhua County, Taiwan with two branches (a 15-minute train ride from each other).

WHERE WE ARE:

Located in Changhua’s High Speed Train Area & close to the train station, you’ll have quick and easy access to the schools, as well as Taiwan’s major cities and scenic attractions.

WHAT WE NEED:

A native English speaker 
Holder of a Bachelor’s degree or higher 
Enjoys dealing with children of all ages, as well as young adults and adults 
Able to commit to at least a year with us 
Possess qualities of responsibility, diligence, flexibility, cultural sensitivity, and patience 
Be sociable and friendly

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Teach group classes (between 4 to 10 students/per class), as well as individual tutoring 
Prepare for lessons (lesson plans are already pre-written) 
Grade essays 
Write comments and grades in student’s daily planner 
Write report cards

HOURS:

Monday to Friday: classes are in attendance from late afternoons to evenings which leaves your mornings free to do some discovering.

OFFER:

Starting base hourly rate of $600 with possibility of yearly increase.(Because we’re located outside the city, you can save much more with us than schools within the city.) 
Minimum 20 hours of teaching time per week 
Pre-written lesson plans (unlike other schools, you do not need to write the weekly lesson plan)

WE WILL HELP YOU WITH:

Work Visa and Alien Residence Card (ARC) 
Pay a portion of your national health insurance. 
Bank Account setup 
Filing and reclaiming government taxes (Income taxes are 18% for the first 182 days, then recalculated at 5~6 % (retroactively), based on annual earnings. 
Free bicycle or Scooter (depending on which one is available)

HOUSING:

We have 2 single rooms available at our Teacher’s Luxury Villa ($4500/month & $6500/month)

We can help you find an apartment.
