The Job

Our public schools in Guangzhou, Foshan & Zhaoqing are now recruiting qualified English teachers to be a part of our close knit community of professional teachers. We currently have openings for our middle schools, primary schools & kindergartens.

We use a range of teaching methodologies and materials to ensure students grow as confident communicators. Classes focus on a communicative approach and make use of English activities, group work, projects, English based games as well as story telling and role plays. The maximum working hours per week is 35 so teachers will still have sufficient time to explore around the city that they are assigned to and experience a unique part of China with a long history of kung fu & martial arts and is also known as the paradise for food lovers. Teachers will be teaching classes of 25 students per class.

Guangzhou The City
Guangzhou is considered as the paradise for food lovers in south China. Guangzhou dish represents well the Guangdong cuisine, which is one among the most famous eight cuisines in China. A large amount of time honored restaurants and quality new restaurants serve various authentic Guangzhou dishes, snacks, and drinks. Explore a modern, developing city with an exciting mix of restaurants, bars, shopping as well as tradition elements. 

Foshan The city
Foshan is a vital part of an active economic zone comprising of Guangzhou in the east, and Hong Kong and Macau in the south. The transportation system of Foshan is well designed to facilitate traveling into or out of the city. Foshan has a long history dating back to approximately 5,000 years. It gained its name from the three Buddha statues unearthed in this area in the Tang Dynasty (618 to 907). Foshan has a reputation as the home of Chinese ceramic arts, Cantonese operas and martial arts. 

Zhaoqing The city
Zhaoqing City is located in the centre of Guangdong Province. To the south and west of Zhaoqing lie the plains and to the east and north is the mountainous areas. If you wish to teach in a scenic city, then Zhaoqing should definitely be on your list. One of the provinces major places of natural beauty and historical interest is Star Lake, and other areas of picturesque beauty include the Seven Star Crags and Dinghu MountainTheir hills and lakes form the area known as Limerock Pinnacle. 

Main Responsibilities
o Maximum number of 35 working hours per week
o Maximum of 25 students per class 
o Student ages: 3 to 16 year olds 
o Create and distribute educational content (notes, summaries, assignments, exams, etc.) 
o Assess and record students progress and provide grades and feedback 
o Plan and execute educational in class and outdoor activities
o Observe and understand students behavior and educational needs 

Compensation
o Excellent base salary: 12,000 to 14,000 RMB per month (gross) 
o Free accommodation provided by the school 
o Air ticket pre paid or airfare reimbursement on contract completion: 5,000 RMB
o Arrival hotel allowance: 800 RMB 
o Legal Z work visa provided
o Heath insurance provided
o Annual salary increase based on performance 
o All national holidays plus 1 month winter vacation (full pay) 
o Professional pre job training with on going program supervision 

Requirements
o Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Ireland
o Bachelors degree required

o 2 years of teaching experience preferred (will consider candidates with no experience)
