Volunteers Needed to Teach English in a Rural Community in Costa Rica

Teach English in Rural Community

We are looking for dedicated volunteers interested in teaching English as a foreign language to students in rural communities in exchange for room, board, and the opportunity to give to a community in need.

Volunteers teach approximately 20 hours per week and are responsible for planning their own lessons, with the guidance of a curriculum developed by Peace Corps Costa Rica. Volunteers should have experience teaching EFL/ESL or another subject, an EFL/ESL certification, and/or a degree in education.

The communities where volunteers teach are located in the heart of the coffee growing region of Costa Rica, surrounded by beautiful mountains, national forest reserves, and some of the best bird watching in the world.

Location: Copey de Dota in the zona de Los Santos, a mountainous region two hours south of San José.
Dates of program: 9 months, from March to November
