ESL teacher required at small university in Mexico, starting March 2019 

Job Description: Teaching general English at the A and B levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages to Nursing, Engineering, Business, and Veterinarian students at a small state university. English teachers are also required to evaluate students and keep records of their grades and attendance.

English is compulsory for all students at the university, and they must complete the English program in order to receive their degrees. They get training and practice in all four skills.

Requirements: The university hires native English speakers only. Successful applicants will have a first degree. TESOL/TEFL Certification preferred. Spanish ability is a plus but is not a requirement. Experience with Cambridge exams (KET and PET) or TOEFL would be an asset, but is not necessary.

Salary and Benefits: Approximately $13,500 MXN per month net, which is a very competitive local salary. Please note that the net monthly salary does not include the annual bonus (one month's salary, after tax) and the annual savings fund payment (approximately 3,000 Mexican Pesos a month).

Other benefits include healthcare covered by the Mexican Social Security system (IMSS), 5 weeks paid vacation annually, and the possibility of tenure after a year of employment. After six years a paid sabattical of one year.
