Salary: c. CNY 264,000 – 612,000 per annum (c.£30,000-c.£69,600 (equivalent) per annum)

Working as an IELTS Examiner for the British Council in China gives you the chance to explore far more than your skills and abilities. Your Role 

Based at one of our British Council offices in Beijing, Chongqing, Guangzhou or Shanghai, you’ll travel to a variety of locations across China to assess candidates in their use of English. This can involve long-distance journeys and extended stays away from your base, so we’ll give you plenty of help with travel arrangements, hotel bookings and support if you get delayed. You’ll also be able to plan your own downtime, so you can explore China around each assignment.

This flexible approach puts you in control, enabling you to decide when to add to your earnings and when to feed your sense of adventure.

What You Will Need

With a recognized TESOL or CELTA qualification, or equivalent, and experience of teaching English to adults, you’ll need a flexible approach and the ability to work on your own initiative.
