Ho Chi Minh City, also commonly known by its former name of Saigon, is 
Vietnam’s most populous and cosmopolitan city. With a population of nearly nine 
million, you’ll never experience a dull moment. The city has rapidly modernized 
over the last few years with new the construction of new skyscrapers, malls and 
housing developments. While it is a high-octane place with things happening 
24/7, there are many still places to relax and soak in the traditional 
Vietnamese lifestyle. The economy in this southern metropolis is

Bien Hoa is a city located approximately 20 miles northeast of Ho Chi Minh 
City. This city of more than one million residents has become the industrial 
center of southern Vietnam with many international companies having factories 
here. The city is alongside the Dong Nai river, which is lined with several 
riverside restaurants and nightclubs. Bien Hoa is the perfect place for someone 
who wants to live in a quieter location while still having big city amenities 
like supermarkets, cinemas and gyms.

APAX’s center in Binh Duong province is located in Thu Dau Mot city, which is 
about 20 miles north of Ho Chi Minh City. Thu Dau Mot is a commercial and 
business hub for southern Vietnam and has a burgeoning expatriate community.
