Teach English in the Yucatan Peninsula!

We are looking for a qualified, enthusiastic English teacher interested in working off the beaten path in Quintana Roo, Mexico available to start in January 2019. Versatile and creative, the ideal applicant would thrive while teaching primary school students, adolescents, and young adults.

The English program at Na’atik Language and Culture Institute offers its students nurturing, interactive, and fun classes while providing excellent texts and materials. In addition to English classes, Na’atik teachers organize and conduct special events and field trips throughout the year. Required Qualifications (please do not apply if you do not meet the required qualifications):

  1. Native English speaker
  2. Degree from an accredited university
  3. A TEFL/CELTA/TESOL teaching certification and 1 year of classroom teaching experience or a 4-year degree in primary or secondary education
  4. Adventurous and independent spirit
  5. Willingness to help organize and participate in special events and field trips

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Communicative Spanish
  2. Experience working in the developing world
  3. Experience with development or non-profit work
