Saint John Mary International School (SJMIS) is a small international school in Saraburi Province. We are a private, co-educational institution offering an English curriculum to both day and boarding students on our well-equipped and spacious campus located 100 kilometers north of Bangkok.

We serve students from Pre-K through grade 12 following the American Common Core State Standards and monitor student achievement with twice-yearly MAP testing in the areas of Mathematics, Reading, and Language Usage. We are fully WASC accredited, and work throughout the academic divisions to produce students who embody the School-Wide Learning Results set forth by our board. Early Childhood Education specialist

We are looking for a native speaker with at least 2 years of teaching experience and a sound understanding of the developmental needs of children between the ages of 2 years and 6 years old for a kindergarten teaching position.
This position is fully self-contained using an integrated curriculum based on a relevant theme, as well as after school activities relevant to the age group or specific needs of the students. The successful applicant will be a loving and caring individual who creates a safe and secure environment for her students. Being a team player is essential.

Qualifications:
Native English Speaker (or near-native speaker with TOEIC score of 800 or higher, neutral accent, and demonstrable command of the conventions of spoken and written English)
Bachelors degree and certification in Early Childhood Education

Elementary homeroom teacher

The Elementary School Homeroom Teacher is accountable for providing the quality teaching and learning of students in a partly self-contained classroom. She/he should be familiar to team teaching. She/he must ensure that the academic, social, emotional and physical needs of his/her students are met. The elementary homeroom teacher models a high standard of professional and personal conduct.

Qualifications:
B. A/M.A. in Education (preferably Elementary Education), Teaching Certification
Licensed Teacher
Minimum 2 years of experience using a US standards-based curriculum teaching English Language Learners
Proficient in spoken and written English
Experienced with backward planning and understanding by design
Familiar with differentiation 
Possess good interpersonal skills
Committed team player
Competent in using technology
Demonstrates sincere care, patience, and passion for nurturing young children

Elementary ELD teacher

Under the direction of the principal and the Reading Program coordinator, the ELD teacher is responsible for providing direct and differentiated instruction to students, individually or in small groups, to enable students to develop literacy skills. Instruction may be delivered within or outside of the students’ classrooms. The LSP resource teacher is also responsible for administering diagnostic and placement testing, providing feedback on student performance, and making recommendations on student placement. He/she must ensure that the academic, social, emotional and physical needs of his/her students are met. He/she must model a high standard of professional and personal conduct.

Qualifications:
B. A./M.A. in Education (preferably Elementary Education), Teaching Certification
Licensed Teacher
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience including instruction in Reading or English
Experience with phonics instruction 
Familiarity with reading comprehension strategies
Experience with administering standard diagnostic tests and analyzing student 
Proficient in spoken and written English
Possess good interpersonal skills
Committed team player
Competent in using technology
Demonstrates sincere care, patience, and passion for nurturing young children

Secondary ICT Teacher/ IT Specialist
Primary responsibilities include classroom teaching and test administration and technical support (MAP, TOEFL, SAT)

Secondary Science Teacher
Use of Understanding By Design for planning, practiced and effective differentiation skills, and strong classroom management skills are essential in this position.
Experience with Next Generation Science Standards highly desired.

Qualifications:
Native English Speaker (or near-native speaker with TOEIC score of 800 or higher, neutral accent, and demonstrable command of the conventions of spoken and written English)
Bachelors degree in area of specialization, teaching licensure, and two years' classroom experience required
