Essex House Premium Language Services is situated in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Situated on the shores of the Caspian Sea, Baku is interestingly placed between the east and the west. The city is small and compact, rich in oil and gas therefore many oil companies operate within or around the city. Baku hosts a number of cosmopolitan restaurants and bars, many with live music from both the east and the west. The walled old city takes you back many years and gives a real feel of the city’s history with its quaint old buildings and small dwellings.

Together, they ensure our clients learn faster, remember more, and communicate better.

The importance of Access English TM cannot be overemphasised, as not all English training is the same. Our system focuses on multi-sensory learning, realistic communications exercises, and developing an instinctual feel for the language, by accessing the same levels of the brain that our native language resides in. Other systems rely on outdated teaching methods which focus on studying complex grammar rules, memorising vocabulary lists, and one-way written translation that leaves live communication with real native English speakers very difficult.

At Essex House Premium Language Services all language training is conducted using the Communicative Approach. Emphasis is placed on communication in the language both orally and in writing. Classroom role-playing enables communication that mirrors a real-life use of the language. This reinforces the idea that language learning is about communicating and not just rote-learning of huge lists of irregular verbs and grammar points.

Requirements:

Applicants must hold a Degree or Diploma of Higher Education and have a TEFL or CELTA qualification. Teaching experience is preferred but newly qualified teachers are also welcome to apply. All applicants must have excellent communication skills and be able to work well as part of a team. Contract:
The contract is for 12 months and is renewable. The work week is Monday to Friday, although there is also a possibility that classes will be conducted on Saturday mornings. Classes can be scheduled anywhere between 9 am and 9 pm. Most classes will be conducted during the afternoon and evening. The working hours are 40 per week maximum, up to 30 hours actual teaching time the remaining hours will be used for lesson planning and administration duties.

Salary:
Between $1500 and $2000 dollars per month. To be decided depending on the qualifications and experience of the applicant.

Accommodation:
Accommodation will be provided and paid for during the first month after which the company will offer help and assistance in finding accommodation to be paid for by the teacher. Alternatively the teacher may stay in the first apartment provided but will continue to pay the rent from their salary.
