BFI Educational Services is now recruiting qualified teachers for its summer program in Yangon, Myanmar. The program begins on March 11, 2018 and ends on May 17, 2018. We are looking for Native English speakers with a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, and prefer to hire those who have CELTA, TESOL, or TEFL certification and at least two years of teaching experience.
Teaching in our summer program gives you a unique opportunity to exchange language and culture with a bright, amazing group of students. Our program is well structured and even offers you a week of paid holiday for the Water Festival to travel and explore the country. Although Myanmar is a developing country, it is changing rapidly. Flexibility and a sense of adventure will be to your benefit here, as well as a willingness to work within a team and to commit to a strong work ethic. Working hours are from 7:45 in the morning to 4:30 in the afternoon, Monday through Friday, and you will be teaching 25 teaching periods per week. Class sizes are small and kept at no more than 20 students. The salary offered is $2500 for the whole 8-week period, accommodation is rent-free, and lunch is provided on school days.
If you demonstrate enthusiasm and dedication while working with us, and are able to prove your skills in teaching, and also find our work environment enjoyable, you may be offered a one-year academic contract upon completion of the summer program. Therefore, this 8-week summer school will serve as a probationary period.
