MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH HEAD OF DEPARTMENT (HOD)

Founded in 1996, Al Ruya is a bilingual Islamic school (Arabic/English) following an American curriculum (PreK-12). The school is non-profit, accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and accepts students of all nationalities, according to placement tests. Requirements:

Muslim

Bachelor degree(s) from USA, UK, Canada, Australia with a major in English literature (a sub major in TESOL, applied linguistics, SLA etc. is an advantage)

Gulf experience is an advantage

Teaching Certificate / License / Diploma / Master of Education (valid for teaching secondary school English in government schools in USA, UK, Canada, Australia)

4 years of successful high school English teaching experience

Experience as an English HOD or grade coordinator is an advantage

Native English speaker
