SUMMER CAMP POSITIONS OPEN NOW! - JUNE -2019! FREE ESL TRAINING! - Astana, Kazakhstan

Previous summer camp experience is not necessary, but preferred. Our summer camp, in Astana Kazakhstan, begins on June 15th 2019. The program lasts for one month. Our company is actively seeking NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS to help improve the language skills of the children of the greater Astana area. What we offer is a one-month contract with airfare and accommodation provided. Training will also be provided.

There will be a final remuneration of up to $700 upon completion of the one month camp. The real benefit to working at our summer camp is the opportunity for full-time employment, for 6-12 months, and a raise of up to $1,200. We would like to hire optimistic and outgoing people who are eager to spend the day playing, but also monitoring and teaching our young summer camp attendees. This is a real chance to gain valuable ESL experience.

ABOUT US:

This will be our third year at Kazakhstan International Linguistic College (KILC), a college that provides full-time education in English for school children ranging from year 9’s to year 12’s. Our college is based on the English model, as opposed to the American, so the age demographic more closely mirrors that of an American high school, rather than an American college. At the time of writing, we have over 500 students and we are working hard to add to those numbers for the 2019-2020 academic year.

In addition to our college, we also provide general English courses for all ages and levels at our chain of English schools. Our customers are usually highly-motivated and range from employees of national companies, to IELTS preparees, to everyday school children engaging in after-school programs. We offer many different courses for students that are planning to study abroad, as well as our annual summer camp programmes. We have FOUR professional language centers in the city of Astana, with a combined total of over 600 students! Our largest demographic of learners are school children.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

We are looking for English teachers, or enthusiastic aspiring teachers, for our upcoming summer camp in Astana, Kazakhstan. Your responsibilities will be to provide informative and entertaining lessons, in English, to our Kazakh students. You will also be responsible for the children, both in the classroom and while they are on field trips: (camping, cinema, etc.). The days will consist of classroom teaching in the morning, followed by games and trips in the afternoon. Strong teachers will be offered a full-time contract at the end of the month.

In addition, during your working hours we will provide free CELTA based training. So if you take to teaching well, we will be happy to offer you a 6 or 12 month contract, if you who would like to continue working for us. Our ideal candidate will be flexible, self-motivated, responsible, work well in a team, and possess cultural sensitivity and awareness.

ABOUT YOU:

Female/Male native English speaker; 
Aged from 20-25; 
Well-organized, professional, and caring.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor’s degree not required but preferred; 
TEFL/CELTA/teaching experience not required but preferred.

TEACHING CONDITIONS:

Monday – Friday 9.00-19.00; 
Breaks included and a two hour lunch break; 
Food provided for free on site; 
Maximum of 12 students per class, ages of students: 6-16.

Paid ticket to Astana (airport pick-up); 
Paid accommodation within walking distance to the camp; 
All visa support; 
Salary negotiable up to $700 depending on experience and qualifications (for one month contract)+free single accommodation; 
For 6-12 months contract salary up to 1200$+free single accommodation.
