Elementary School Homeroom Teacher
Bryan van ScoykElementary School Homeroom Teacher
Pre-Primary and Elementary Education Homeroom Teachers:
The Robert Muller LIFE School is a non-profit, international preK-6 school located in Panajachel, Guatemala on the shores of beautiful Lake Atitlan. We are committed to providing a quality education to the local population, who are mostly indigenous of Mayan descent.
Our Homeroom teachers are full-time teaching positions for a 10 month academic year from August 2019 to June 2020. Contracts for continued employment will be offered for additional years based on performance, as we love to have teachers who are interested in being around for more than a year. Next year we have a few positions available for pre-primary and primary Homeroom Teachers.
The majority of our students enter our school with little to no English, and we are therefore looking for teachers with a bilingual/ELL/immersion background. As a Homeroom Teacher, you would be responsible for providing instruction in Language Arts, social studies, math, and science. Your students would also have Technology, Art, Kaqchikel, Spanish, and PE with other teachers, during which time you would have planning periods.
Please note that in order to apply for teaching positions at LIFE School, you must have a degree in early childhood, elementary, or secondary education, and/or be state-certified.
The school will provide transportation from the Guatemala City airport and will also help the new teachers in finding accommodations.
