Teacher Interns Needed for TEFL Programme in Russia
Winsor English Language SchoolTeacher Interns Needed for TEFL Programme in Russia
Winsor English Language School offers full-time employment to a number of applicants who do not have a Teaching English as a Foreign Language qualification or teaching experience. This can be achieved by becoming a Teacher Intern. Teacher interns undertake a 4-week intensive TEFL course and a 9-month paid practical teaching contract. The initial month’s training is free of charge. Training continues throughout the course of the paid 9-month Practical Teaching contract in the form of workshops, practical assignments, observations and feedback from Windsor’s academic management team. There are a limited number of vacancies for the Teacher Internship TEFL Programme each year, to ensure high quality mentoring. In most cases, our interns are recent university graduates/TEFL graduates and motivated to gain experience developing their skills as teachers of English to speakers of other languages. Although holding a degree would be helpful, it is not mandatory.
Are you our next intern?
Most of the Windsor schools are based in Moscow Russia. However, we also have a school in St Petersburg and Tenerife. The smaller size of our school means we have much more of a friendly and family-like atmosphere, with more emphasis on teacher support and training. 15 years of training teachers has shown us that great teachers are not necessarily experienced or qualified, often the best teachers are those that have a strong desire to continually develop their teaching skills.
A newly qualified English teacher with a TEFL, CELTA or TESOL qualification may be set up to teach, but there is no guarantee of success in the classroom.
Thorough knowledge of the English language, which is helpful, is often of little value If you can’t get the students to connect with the language. If there is no connection to the language they will not retain it no matter how fluent you are.
With ongoing, personalised/dedicated support from our team, you’ll learn how to:
- Get the students to connect with the language. If there is no connection to the language they will not retain it no matter how fluent they are.
- The ability to build rapport with your students. Teacher-student rapport is very often the key to a successful class. Being enthusiastic, friendly, approachable and having the ability to make your students feel that you care about their needs are the character traits of a good nay great teacher.
Before you apply please review the requirements below.
Applicants must:
- Be a native speaker of English from the following countries: the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa.

- Have the desire to learn and participate in all parts of the Teacher Intern Programme.
- Successfully complete all the coursework and practical assignments.
