Urgent need: Position in Malaysia for Experience Native ESL Instructor

ELS Malaysia was established in 1990 and is a franchise of the US-based ELS Language Centres.

We specialise in teaching Academic English, test prep programmes such as TOEFL and IELTS and work place English.

Since 1990, ELS Language Centres Malaysia, has built a reputation as being one of the best English language training providers with a network of instruction centres in Subang Jaya, Johor Bahru and ELS@UPM.

Job Summary

As our Native English Teachers, you are entitled to:

  • 40 teaching hours per work

Details of Position

ELS Language Centres is now looking for Native Level English speaking teachers to join our team in Malaysia

We are looking for someone who could:

  1. To teach any of the ELS academic programmes as assigned by the Academic Director or Academic Co-coordinator.
  2. To prepare lesson plans, exercises and tests.
  3. To test, evaluate and counsel the student regarding his/her classroom performance.
  4. To maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
  5. To co-ordinate instruction, attendance records and evaluation with other teachers.
  6. To be willing to observe for purposes of professional development and to be observed in all facets of the programmes.
  7. To participate in administrative meetings and professional development activities.
  8. To participate in the employee evaluation process (classroom observations and follow-up discussions and the performance appraisal process).
  9. To develop and /or refine teaching materials at the local level.
  10. To participate in activities during the instructor’s scheduled class hours and when requested, to disseminate information about after-class activities

Qualifications:

  • Native level speaker of English with a bachelor’s degree and a 120-hour in-class Teaching Certification (TEFL, CELTA, TESOL, ELT, or equivalent)
  • Age between 25 to 50 years old.
  • BA or MA in English Language Teaching or related is also applicable.
  • Enthusiastic and dynamic in personality, displaying a passion to help students speak English with 
  • Pleasant, outgoing teachers who have innovative teaching strategies and are team players with a strong service mind.
  • Open to relocate to Malaysia
  • Show a desire to for continuous professional development and sharing of best practices
  • Display a commitment to high standards of delivery
  • Reflect a can-do attitude that supports the ELS brand position
  • Practise respect for all communities, cultures and religions.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive monthly salary starting from MYR 7,400.00 up to MYR 10,000.00 depending on experience and qualification.
  • 2 years contract.
