Lighthouse International School (grades 1-12) is currently seeking native English-speaking teachers who can teach in one of the following areas:

- Elementary Education 
- Secondary English 
- Secondary Social Science 
- Secondary Science

The teacher shall be committed to living a biblical lifestyle and called by God to teach at a nurturing Christian environment School. The teacher shall prayerfully help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians who will make a transforming influence in their world to the praise and the glory of God.

1. About our school

Lighthouse International School (LIS) is a private Christian school located near Ilsan area. The school is committed to educate the children of God, so they can develop sound spirituality, exemplary character, and a biblical world view to embrace the world and become global leaders. Core classes are taught in English, and the school¡¦s mission is to train distinguished, righteous people of God that will shine the light of good influence on the world through their good deeds.

2. Qualifications 
Required: 
- Be a born-again Christian committed to living a biblical life style 
- Possess a bachelor¡¦s degree from an accredited college 
- Possess teacher certification or bachelor¡¦s degree in elementary or secondary education, or have experience teaching in public or private secondary school in the relevant subject area

Preference 
- F visa teachers 
- Native English speakers who can speak Korean

Duties 
- Work five days weekly (Monday-Friday, from 8:30-17:30) 
- Teach classes as assigned (18~22 class hours weekly) 
- Provide classroom instruction and other duties as assigned 
- Assess the learning of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required 
- Maintain accurate record keeping on attendance and grades 
- Participate in staff meetings 
- Integrate Biblical principles in the classroom and on the school premises to create a nurturing environment 
- Advise students and correct their behaviors as needed 
- Sponsor or supervise extracurricular activities and programs 
- Collaborate in curriculum development

3. Remuneration & Benefits 
- Monthly salary negotiable: 2.0~3.0 million Korean Won 
- Airfare reimbursement (roundtrip) only if the teacher is residing in a foreign country during the recruitment process 
- Health insurance (50/50 split) 
- National pension (refundable according to nationalities; US, Canada, etc.)(50/50 split) 
*Can collect the full amount, both school¡¦s contribution and employee¡¦s share 
- 20 days paid vacation + national holidays + additional paid vacation according to seniority 
- Additional 2 days paid personal leave 
- Additional 4 days paid sick days 
- Housing will be provided (if required) 
- Eligible severance pay after fulfilling 1 year contract

4. Contract Period 
1 Year (The contract may be extended or renewed upon evaluation). 
Starting Date: August 2019 or Jan 2020
