Part-time EFL Faculty for the 2019 Fall Semester at Soongsil University, Seoul, Korea

1. Position 
Baird University College at Soongsil University invites applicants for non-tenure track, part-time positions for its Freshmen English Program: a compulsory credit-bearing course beginning September 2, 2019. 
* Available class times are Monday/Wednesday 9-10:15AM, 1:30-2:45PM and 3:00-4:15PM. Please do not apply if you are not available on these days. Preference is given to applicants available for all three class times.

2. Qualifications 
2-1) Foreign native speaker of English 
2-2) Master¡¯s degree or above 
2-3) Minimum one year of teaching experience at the university level 
*TEFL/TESL/TESOL/CELTA certification is preferred for an applicant whose major field of study is not Applied Linguistics, English Literature or TESOL/TEFL. 
2-4) Ability to give a teaching demonstration and attend an in-person interview on campus at Soongsil University in the third week in July. 
2-5) Must be eligible to work according to visa status

3-2) Applicants who pass the initial screening process will be invited for an interview and will be required to do a short (10-minute) demonstration lesson. At the time of the interview and teaching demonstration, the following documents will need to be presented: 
A. Soongsil University Employment Application 
B. Consent Form for Korean Criminal Background Check for Sex Crimes (¼º¹üÁË °æ·Â Á¶È¸ µ¿ÀǼ­) 
C. National Criminal Background Check (if possible) 
D. Original Diplomas/Degrees

4. Important Notes 
4-1) Document authenticity: All documents submitted at time of application must be scans of the originals. 
4-2) Interview: Candidates must be available for a teaching demonstration and a face-to-face interview in the 3rd week of July 2020 at Soongsil University in Seoul. 
4-3) Contract Period: This is a one semester only position with the possibility of continued employment. 
4-4) Hourly rate: 56,000 Won/ hour
