Workshop Facilitators and Curriculum Developers Needed for Rome and Beyond
ACLEWorkshop Facilitators and Curriculum Developers Needed for Rome and Beyond
ACLE is looking for two workshop facilitators/teacher-trainers to lead English-language workshops in and around Rome and beyond. The position is based in Rome, but workshop facilitators may also spend a portion of their time touring Italy. Candidates must have near-native fluency, EU passports and full licenses can apply.
DUTIES
ACLE workshop facilitators lead workshops for students (primary, lower secondary and upper secondary) as well as for teachers.
The teacher-training courses are for primary school teachers.
In addition to workshops and courses, you may also be involved in creating the new camp material for Summer 2020. There is also the possibility that you would be tapped for courses abroad (e.g. London) as a group leader and for the Camp Director orientations.
TRAINING
The training is in Rome and lasts three weeks. It is paid at €450 + accommodation. During this period, you would be trained on CLIL workshops and teacher-training courses, and you would have the opportunity to pilot the workshops with Italian students. ACLE provides all of the teaching material and all necessary administrative support.
CONDITIONS
The contract is full-time, and length of the contract is from mid-October through the end of May.
The Italian work week is Monday through Saturday, though you won’t be working every Saturday. Six contact hours or fewer per day (not including driving/accounting when traveling) is the standard.
The holidays are 21 December through 6 January and 9 April-13 April plus a few Italian national holidays
In Rome, you would be staying in an ACLE flat (area Pietralata), well served by public transportation and shops. ACLE covers expenses for gas, water, and electricity up to €150/month. Above €150 (on average), the cost of these bills will be shared amongst the residents. ACLE does not provide Internet in the Rome flat.
When traveling, you would be staying in ACLE accommodation or in hotels/B&Bs.
