Salary, benefits and other employment details will be discussed during interview but will include flight allowances and excellent accommodation in addition to the salaries. Myanmar has a very, very low cost of living, one of the cheapest in SE Asia.
Teaching and Learning: Years 2 and 3 (Lower Primary)
Provide clear planning for lessons and for sequences of lessons, which maintain pace, motivation and challenge(s)
Make effective use of assessment information on students' attainment and progress and in
planning future lessons.
Ensure effective teaching of whole classes, groups and individuals,
establishing high expectations of behaviour and attainment, so that teaching objectives are
met.
Monitor and intervene when teaching to ensure sound learning and discipline and maintain
a safe environment in which students feel confident.
Use a variety of teaching and learning styles to keep all students engaged.
Critically evaluate your own teaching to improve effectiveness.
International teaching experience is a plus but not a requirement.
Professional Knowledge and Understanding:
Keep up to date with the Cambridge Assessment International Education curricula.
Be aware of, and promote the academy's values as part of the curriculum and ethos of the BFI Group of Schools.
Understand how students' learning is affected by their physical, intellectual, emotional and
social development.
Be familiar with the BFI Group of Schools current systems and structures as outlined in policy documents including Health and Safety and Child Protection Policies.
Understand how academy school data including test data can be used to set clear targets for students’ achievement.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with professional colleagues and
parents/guardians.
Participate in the Performance Management Cycle.
Participate as required in meetings with professional colleagues and parents in respect of
duties and responsibilities of the post.
Be aware and mindful of all aspects of health and safety in relations to your duties.
Ensure that all BFI policies are properly implemented.
Assessment and Reporting:
Assess and report each students progress systematically with reference to the academy's policies and practices, including the social progress of each student and use the results to inform future planning.
Mark and monitor classwork and homework, in line with the academy's current practices.
To provide constructive feedback to students and set targets for future progress.
Provide reports on individual progress to middle/senior leaders and parents as required.
