The Job
Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, our school specializes in training business English to both national and global branded clients. We also train clients in tailor made courses with the specific aim of improving and further developing soft skills in areas such as making presentations, report and email writing and telephoning skills.

We host regular workshops, both external and internal, with the aim of further developing the training skills of our academic team. Some of our most popular activities are our external social events for clients, which are based on regular themes such as films, music, current affairs or pub quiz and are much enjoyed by us and, more importantly of course, by our students.

Teachers will be teaching 23 hours per week with a maximum of 40 working hours. We are offering a 6 month or 12 month full time contract to successful candidates. Jakarta the City
Formerly known as Batavia, the Indonesian capital Jakarta nestles on the north eastern coastline of the archipelago. It is the 5th largest island, Java. In recent years the city centre has undertaken a substantial transformation with the development and completion of impressive business communities, tower blocks and skyscrapers as well as improved infrastructure.

Thankfully, the famous street food industry has also continued to thrive, serving up a host of wonderful foodie delights such as Indonesian style curry, soup, salad, rice and noodle dishes; not forgetting the world famous satay sellers from Indonesia. Even beholding is the infamous traffic jams in Indonesia and many pedestrian bridge crossings can be quite a pastime in itself!

It is of course during holiday periods that one can escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Within a 90 minute flight, there are such beautiful gems such as Bali, Lombok, Belitung and Sumatra. Other wonderful destinations lie 2 to 4 hours flight from Jakarta such as Komodo National Park, Lake Toba, orangutan sanctuaries in Borneo, The Spice Islands and The Gili Islands (just to name a few).

Main Responsibilities
o 23 contracted teaching hours per week
o 40 maximum working hours per week
o Class sizes average: 4 to 15 students
o Student ages: mainly adults
o 5 working days per week
o Counseling students by providing constructive feedback
o Cooperate with Staff to ensure the constructive communication and efficient operation of the centre
o Participation in workshops (internal and external), social clubs and marketing activities
o Lesson planning, creating course outlines
o Deliver classes in a professional and creative way


Compensation
o Competitive salary: 17,000,000 RP to 18,000,000 RP (1,200 to 1,280 USD) per month (negotiable depending on qualifications)
o Full flight reimbursement on contract completion

Requirements
o Bachelors degree or above required
o Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or Ireland
