NATIVE ESL AND IELTS TEACHERS REQUIRED IN KUALA LUMPUR
Sheffield Academy is a pioneer English Language training provider to students from across the globe. Our students come to us for ELICOS, ESL and IELTS classes. We also run various summer and winter camps for children and teenagers.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will join our Academic Team and will be responsible for delivering a high quality student learning experience through the delivery of classroom instructions, workshops, activities and assessment as defined at Sheffield to students at various levels of English.
Key Responsibilities:
• To establish a positive and supporting learning environment for all
students
• To create and contextualize lessons to make them engaging with a
focus on learning and progress.
• To provides feedback and support that encourages students to
develop their language skills and confidence
• To undertake and complete administrative duties in a timely manner.
• To contribute to the students learning experiences by planning and
accompanying students on field trips and excursions.
• To take an active interest in self-development and creates and
achieves development goals.
• To participates in in-company and industry and marketing events and
training and promotes and facilitates best practice through active
collaboration with other teachers.
Duties assigned include, but are not be limited to the following:
• Plan and deliver lessons and workshops
• Set and mark homework and tests
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions
• Seek feedback from students, peers and manager
• Set development goals in conjunction with the Principal based on
observations, feedback and individual areas of interest.
• Follow the directives of the Principal and Management team
• Complete class administration in a timely manner, including: Records
of Work, student attendance, Student assessment reports
• Assist Principal to develop new materials and programs
• Participate and contribute to Sheffield’s social media platforms

Skills and experience
Education Required:
• Degree and
• TESOL qualified or
• CELTA / Trinity
Experience Required:
• Experience teaching ESL to adults
• Experience in the ELICOS sector
• Experience in teaching IELTS
