Candidates for these teaching positions must have UK, US, Canadian, South African, Australian, New Zealand or Irish citizenship in order to obtain work visas for Taiwan.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree or US Associate's degree
Candidates with an Associate's degree will need to have or obtain a TEFL certificate.
Candidates must be able to show the original degree certificate.
Candidates must be able to obtain a clean national criminal background check.

The school is looking for enthusiastic and dynamic graduates with a genuine love of working with children.

Candidates must be flexible to work with children of all ages.

SALARY & BENEFITS:

New teachers can start work within a few weeks of interviewing, with the school arranging the residence permit while in Taiwan. There are vacancies throughout the island. Taiwan is easy to enter and authentication of documents is not required prior to arrival.

Hourly Pay starting pay rate range of 620 – 660 NT$ per hour based on previous teaching qualifications

Ceiling rate from 750 to 800 NT$ per hour

Teaching Duties Stipend
• 3000 NT$ per month for class preparation work—e.g. for meetings, trainings, class preparation, etc.

First-year Contract Renewal Bonus
• Staff retention is an important priority. The purpose of this bonus is to encourage teachers to stay for a minimum of two years. (Contracts are for a year)
• 10,000 NT$ is paid in the 6th month of 2nd contract
• 15,000 NT$ at the end of 24th month.

Approximate monthly income depending on hours worked
20 Hours Week = 49,880 NT$ per month (approx. £1250 / $1660)
25 Hours Week = 62,350 NT$ per month (approx. £1550 / $2150)
30 Hours Week = 74,820 NT$ per month (approx. £1875 / $2500)

> Guaranteed hours - guaranteed minimum 20 per week (average 26 per week)
> 10 days’ training is provided prior to start of work – accommodation and meals are provided during the training programme
