Virtual Reality ESL Teachers Required in Beijing, China

We have an exciting and unique opportunity for 2 interactive Virtual Reality ‘Green Screen’ ESL teachers in Beijing, China.

This role entails teaching ESL using interactive green screen technology and Virtual Reality to teach English using games, quizzes and movement alongside animated characters on screen, creating an engaging and fun environment for children to learn from.

We’re looking for candidates who are energetic, enthusiastic and love working with children and who are capable of communicating in a dynamic way in order to engage learners.

The programme, named 3.0, uses state-of-the-art Virtual Reality and green room technology to bring a new form of language learning to students across China. Teachers work at the Beijing studio, located in the Haidian District, working alongside other English teachers and a Chinese team on a daily basis.

Location: Haidian District, Beijing

These roles are situated in the Haidian district, Beijing’s prime area for technology and education as well as being home to China’s most prestigious universities, Peking and Tsinghua. The area is a hub of young professionals, technology experts and students and is regarded as one of the most attractive districts in Beijing for ESL teachers to live.

Beijing itself is undoubtably one of the world’s most exciting, ancient cities. Packed with culture and history it’s inevitably one of China’s busiest cities.  Highlights include the Forbidden City, and marvel at the architecture, feast on the national dish; ‘Peking Duck’ or take a trip to the Great Wall of China, as Beijing hosts some of the best opportunities to visit this great wonder.

Job description:

• 5 days per week, 8 hours per day.
• Full training provided

Requirements:

• Ability to speak English to native level.
• Bachelor’s degree or above (any subject)
• A teaching certificate such as an Educator Certificate/TESOL/TEFL/CELTA/DELTA or equivalent.

Salary:

 20,000-28,000 RMB per month ($2,800-$3,930) (£2,260-£3160) after tax
