Job Title: Full-time ESL Teacher
 
Effective Dates: Mid August 2020 – August 2021 (Option for a 2-year contract or for renewal)

Qualifications/Experience: bachelor’s degree, teacher certification or TESOL/ CELTA certification

Positions:
Intermediate (Grades 7-10) - English as Second Language and use of other subject areas (e.g. Music/Drama/Science) to reinforce language skill development.
 
Primary/Junior (Grades 1-5) - English as Second Language and use of other subject areas (e.g. Music/Drama/Art) to reinforce language skill development.

Location: Taipei, New Taipei City, other cities in Taiwan

Salary Range: US 2,100 – 2,700 per month

*With the Salary & Benefit of a 2-year contract: earn up to US$30,000 - US$37,500 / year

*An 11-month contract is also available with the difference in benefit.

Job Description

• Deliver an immersive, interactive, and engaging ESL program based on the Ontario curriculum combined with the Taiwanese curriculum.
• Extend and reinforce students’ language development through additional content areas (e.g. music, art, science, drama).
• Create a supportive, yet, challenging, English learning environment that is modeled on the Ontario classroom experience, employing methods such as individualized instruction and assessment for, as, and of learning.
• Work effectively as a member of a team, including co-planning with other teachers.
