The Job
We are now conducting interviews for full time business English trainers to join our team in central Taipei in Taiwan. Our firm provides professional on site business English training solutions to a wide range of established international and domestic firms. The training services we provide help organizations improve the quality and effectiveness of their external and internal English language communications.

We pride ourselves on providing high quality language courses that enable clients to operate more effectively in their particular business environment. Our customized courses cover business skills such as delivering presentations, participating in meetings and teleconferences, negotiating, networking, emailing and report writing. The ideal candidate will have a business background as well as a minimum of 4 years relevant business English teaching experience.

Our clientele are typically well established professionals coming from a wide variety of industries. They are generally highly educated and strongly motivated to improve their English, as it is a skill that is often essential to their career development. English levels range from beginner through to highly advanced. Group sizes range from 1 on 1 up to a maximum group size of 10. The needs and levels of all of our clients are carefully assessed to ensure that effective training outcomes are always achieved. This position requires a lot of travelling within Taipei city, and sometimes outside of Taipei, to the offices of our clients where classes take place. We provide a travel allowance.

Taipei
Taipei is the capital city of Taiwan which is located in the Pacific Ocean only 120 miles from Mainland China and 360 miles northeast of Hong Kong. Taiwan has a population of over 23 million people which consist of Han, Chinese, Taiwanese and nine different aboriginal groups. Mandarin is the primary language spoken in the city. Taipei is in the northern part of the island with 2.6 million inhabitants. It serves as Taiwans financial, cultural and governmental center.

Taipei has so much to offer with its hilltop retreats, historical treasures or high rise skyscrapers. Take a tour on top of Taipei 101, one of the Seven New Wonders of the World and the second tallest building in the planet. Also, do not miss the chance to visit the National Palace Museum, one of the best museums and contains some of the most priceless relics in the world. Its extraordinary displays and ancient treasures are definitely worth the tour.

Shop for high tech gadgets in computer markets or find low tech items in one of the many night markets in Taipei. For most tourists, the night markets are what the Taipei experience is all about. They are popular for snacks and drinks sold in street carts and individual stalls hawking clothing and consumer goods.

Main Responsibilities
o Roughly 24 contact teaching hours per week
o Deliver training courses to corporate clients on site, Monday to Friday between 08:00 and 20:00
o Facilitate highly dynamic 1 on 1 coaching and small group programs
o Travel to our offices of our clients in Taipei and sometimes outside of Taipei to deliver classes
o Teach off the shelf courses to small and medium size groups
o Source and develop training materials appropriate to client needs
o Manage learning processes aligned with goals and expectations of clients
o Report internally and externally on training results


Compensation
o 800 New Taiwan Dollars (approx 25 USD) per hour for delivery of regular training
o 1500 New Taiwan Dollars(approx 48 USD) per hour for delivery of workshops
o 500 New Taiwan Dollars per hour for unbilled client meetings and updating training plans (e.g. describing new training approaches adopted, etc.)
o 200 New Taiwan Dollarstravel fee per round trip for central Taipei locations and up to 2,000 New Taiwan Dollars for other locations
o Unlimited (and unpaid) vacation (with reasonable notice to arrange cover)
o ARC, work visa provided at trainers expense
o Health and labour insurance and pension payments provided


Requirements
o Native English speaker from UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland or South Africa
o Bachelors degree in any discipline (or an Associate degree with TEFL certificate)
o Minimum 4 years language training experience with adults
o Patient, flexible and full of enthusiasm
o Excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong analytical skills
o Ability to adapt quickly and proactively to meet client needs
o Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
o Strong organizational and time management skills
o Fluent computer skills for producing professional training materials and client reports, and using online training and administrative tools
