Native English Speakers Needed in Mandalay and Yangon
The International Language & Business Centre (ILBC), Yangon, Myanmar would like to recruit native speakers, native speakers only, to teach English in the Lower Primary and Secondary level classes (Lower Primary in Mandalay, Myeik and Naypyidaw and Secondary in Yangon)in our schools.
Teachers must hold a BA in English or any other Arts discipline, teaching certificate (TESOL,TEFL etc.) and at least 3 years teaching experience in the appropriate level. Holders of a masters degree or a secondary education degree in addition to their bachelor's degree would be given preference for the Secondary English teacher positions.
Salary of USD 2250 per month would be offered, accommodation or accommodation allowance of Kyats 600,000/- per month would be granted. Return airfare(economy)
to country of origin,the airfare to Yangon or Mandalay would be reimbursed on arrival and the airfare back to country of origin would be given at the end of the successful completion of a contract or when teacher leaves ILBC for good. Visa fees and return airfare to Bangkok when teacher's business visa need to be renewed. One or two night's hotel fees would also be given during visa renewal trips to Bangkok. Four weeks paid recreation leave during summer (April / May) for teachers who have completed a full one year contract. Other benefits would be in the Terms & Conditions sent to successful applicants.
Teaching hours 25 maximum per week. School hours 35 per week. Class size 25 maximum per classroom. Primary students 7-9 years and secondary students 13-14 years of age.
New school years start on June 5, 2014. Teachers must arrive at the latest on June 1, 2014.
