Winter Placement for Conversational English Teacher in Budapest, Hungary
The Central European Teaching ProgramWinter Placement for Conversational English Teacher in Budapest, Hungary
The Central European Teaching Program has an immediate opening at a bilingual elementary school in Budapest.
Our teachers must be native-English speakers and have earned a bachelor’s degree plus TEFL certification.. All applicants must be citizens of countries that have teaching reciprocity agreements with Hungary: The US, Canada, the UK and the EU.
CETP is the oldest (established 1990) and most significant organization placing ESL teachers in Hungary. Currently we serve 100+ schools, a large proportion being elementary, but also a number of academic high schools and rarely, a university. Most are public schools though several are parochial. Teachers do not need to attend services or be a member of the faith.
Orientation for second semester will begin January 23rd with a welcome dinner at a traditional Hungarian restaurant on the bank of the Danube. The program fee is $1800 for one semester or $2500 for a full academic year (Jan-Jan.) I assure you this is NOT a placement fee. We are a full-service organization providing: several-day orientation, all Hungarian residence and work permits, airport welcome, transportation to your new community, free private furnished apartment with utilities paid, medical insurance, the national Hungarian teachers’ salary, wonderful in-country director available 24/7, Facebook page for travel and teaching tips, plus personal, attentive service throughout. And by coming through CETP, your Hungarian income tax, the equivalent of your program fee, will be waived. Please Google CETP to read what people have to say about us.
Please send brief letter of introduction and resume/CV to Mary Rose at mary.cetp@gmail.com. You may find our application on our website at www.cetp.info.
If you are not available now, we hope you will consider coming for fall. We will have many openings throughout Hungary. Placements begin in March.
