ESL Instructors Needed

The Professional Development Institute of the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani is seeking ESL instructors for its various English language programs. These programs include English for academic purposes as well as general communications English, English for specific purposes, teacher training and TOEFL/IELTS preparation courses.

Instructors must demonstrate the ability to plan, prepare and deliver lessons; prepare and administer weekly assessments; develop and use supplemental materials enhancing learning; conduct language lab sessions; attend staff meetings and workshops; and work collegially. Instructors’ classroom hours are approximately 20 - 25 hours per week. The contract period may either be short or long term, depending on current needs and qualifications.

Candidates must be native-English speakers, with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, 2 years English language teaching experience, and TESOL or equivalent teaching credentials.
