Teacher Trainer Needed in Silom (Bangkok)

One of our educational, technology-based products, Scholastic Early English is a unique, comprehensive, interactive English program, specifically designed for young learners ages 3 – 7. We are looking for an energetic individual who has both experience and a passion to train and manage teachers. In addition, this individual will also be required to teach Early English to very young learners in our center. This position will be based in our Scholastic Early English Language Center in Silom (Bangkok), Thailand.

Teacher Trainer

(Full-time, Contract)

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality teacher training courses that meet the needs of the teachers and licensees

• Participate in the development of teacher training materials, evaluation and feedback

• Manage the teacher team in the center professionally

• Conduct classroom observations to evaluate teacher performance

• Provide qualitative pedagogical and classroom management feedback to the teachers and licensees

• Keep up-to-date with developments, teaching and training resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons and instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences for very young learners of English

• Use Interactive Whiteboard technology to support instruction

Pre-requisites:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education/TEFL/TESL/TESOL, or a Bachelor’s Degree in other fields with a TESOL/CELTA qualification

• Minimum 4 years of experience in teaching English to young learners ages 3-7 years old

• Minimum 2 years of experience in teacher training

• Native speaker of English (for foreign applicants, we will assist in work permit application)

• Mature individual with a high level of professionalism, pleasant personality and work ethics

• Must be willing to travel, and to work in the evenings and on the weekends

• Team-player who is also capable of working independently or with minimal supervision

• Strong professional development skills/teacher coaching experience

• Experience in utilizing digital learning activities in the classroom is an advantage.
