English, Science and Maths Teachers

Benjamarachutit School is a government secondary school in Nakhon Si Thammarat in Southern Thailand.
We are currently seeking teachers to come and join our school. We are preferably looking for individuals who are already in Thailand, but we are open to all to apply for the positions if interested.

We have a vacant positions in the Lower English Programme and in the Upper English Programme and are seeking a native speakers to teach English courses in both departments.

Lower English Programme
Position: NES Core English Teacher (M1)
To teach 18-20 periods of English to students aged 12-13 years old. This course focuses on teaching and developing all four core English skills; Reading, Writing, Speaking and Listening. The number of periods also includes a club period and a homeroom meeting. Class sizes are no more than 30 students per class. A relevant degree in English language or literature related fields is preferred, but any applicant with a keen interest and knowledge of teaching English will be considered.

Position start date: May 2021

Position: Science Teacher (M2&3) Position
To teach 18-20 periods of project and presentation based work in Science to students aged 13-15 years old. This course focuses on teaching students’ valuable skills in scientific research, producing reports and project work, allowing students to apply scientific knowledge with their creative and innovative thinking. The number of periods also includes a club period and a homeroom meeting. Class sizes are no more than 30 students per class. A relevant degree in Science is required for this position.

Upper English Programme
Position: NES English Language Teacher (M4-M5)
To teach 18-20 periods of English to students aged 15-18 years old. These courses include subjects such as Core English, Listening and Speaking and Reading and Writing. The period amount also includes a club period and a homeroom meeting. Class sizes are no more than 30 students per class. A relevant degree in English language or literature related fields is preferred, but any applicant with a keen interest and knowledge of teaching English will be considered.

Position start date: as soon as possible

Position: Mathematics & English Teacher (M4-M6)
Job Description: To teach approximately 16-20 periods to students aged 15-18 years old. The mathematics course covers numbers and operations, measurements, algebra, geometry, data analysis, probability and mathematical skills and processes. This position will also require one English subject to be taught. The period amount includes a club period and a homeroom meeting. Class sizes are no more than 30 students per class. A relevant degree in Mathematics or related fields is preferred, but any applicant with a keen interest and knowledge of teaching Mathematics will be considered.

Position start date: May 2021

For all positions; all the classrooms are equipped with projectors, desktop PCs, speakers and each department has additional equipment available for the teachers to use. Both departments have numerous resources for their subjects and an experienced, supportive team of teachers at their back.

Our Requirements
1. Bachelor (Honours) Degree and corresponding transcripts (from an accredited university)
2. Teaching experience and/or TEFL preferred, but not required
3. Police Background Check
4. A person who has a positive, hardworking attitude with a passion and interest in teaching.
5. Be competent in designing dynamic lessons and creating stimulating supplementary materials and assessments.

So, what do we offer?
A starting salary of 34,000-42,000 baht per month (depending on qualifications and experience based on a government scheme provided by the local education center).

We offer all our teachers basic health insurance (after a probationary period of 4 months)
We prepare all the paperwork for the visa and work permit but payment is up to the teacher.

Additionally, the school helps new teachers get set up with suitable accommodation, bank accounts, and anything else that you would need.
