British Council is recruiting experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated teachers, trainers and managers to join their professional teams in Indonesia, Thailand, Burma and Malaysia. These posts start between February and June 2014.

 Teachers of English (Medan, Indonesia, Bangkok & Chiang Mai, Thailand)

As a Teacher of English you would plan, prepare and deliver high quality English language teaching that meets the needs of different customer groups taking into account individual learning styles. These positions would be especially suited to those wishing to work in a dynamic team environment and who are looking to develop professionally. As we are committed to continuing professional development, there are opportunities for teachers to participate in INSETT sessions and other ELT projects.

 Senior Instructor, Young Learners (Bangkok, Thailand)

As a Senior Instructor (Young Learners), you will develop YL products for all centres in Thailand (Bangkok and Chiang Mai). You will likely be involved in delivering YL extension to CELTA and lead on

internal training related to Young Learner courses for teachers, CS staff and parents.

 Teacher Trainer (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia)

As a Teacher Trainer based in our main centre, you will prepare and deliver a range of teacher-training and trainer-training programmes. The work will bring you into contact with local teachers at all levels and from different backgrounds. Through the training programmes you will conduct, you will aim to have a positive impact on the way English is taught and learnt in Malaysia.

 PDU Trainer & Teacher (Rangoon, Burma)

The post of full time PDU trainer and teacher presents an exciting and varied job opportunity for teachers experienced in teaching . Experience in delivery of IELTS courses will be viewed favourably who want to develop their skills in a corporate training environment, which is extremely customer-focused.

 Branch Academic Manager

This post would be suited for an experienced Senior Teacher or teacher with the ambition and drive to take their first steps into management and shape the future through establishing the first public access centre in Indonesia. The role will develop all aspects of project and business management, in particular marketing and HR, and would be supported by the Centre Manager and Director English Indonesia

 Young Learner Manager (Rangoon, Burma)

As a key member of the management team you will provide academic leadership and support for Young Learner products and services and contribute to the development and expansion of the Teaching Centre business. You will also line manage up to six teachers, contribute to our teacher development programmes and to the day to day operations of the teaching centre as well as teaching up to 6 hours per week.
