School profile: Located in the world-famous scenic city of Guilin, Guilin Institute of Tourism (GLIT) was established in 1985 and is the Guilin Institute of Tourism is the only higher education institute in Mainland China dedicated just to tourism studies. It is also a designated center for training national tour guides, general managers of hotels and travel agencies in Central-South China and Southwest China. Since its foundation, GLIT has been developing its educational programs in different forms and levels. Until Sept. 2007, there are more than 8,000 students in GLIT from 28 provinces. Presently, GLIT runs 3-year full-time courses, new tertiary vocational training courses, correspondence courses, self-taught courses, short-term courses and post qualification training courses.
3. Job vacancies: As the Institute is undergoing rapid development, international teachers are in need. Though it already has more than 10 teachers from Japan, Korea, Canada, England and France, more native speakers of English, French and Korean are welcome to join the team of faculty.
4. Compensation: the salary is between 3,500 to 6,000RMB Yuan per month based on your degree, qualification and experience. Besides we offer you an apartment(35 square meters) on campus with living facilities like color TV, refrigerator, computer，air-conditioning and washing machine etc.
5 Teaching hours: 16 hours/ week. Overwork will bring extra pay by the hour.
