English Language Manager
AMIDEAST, a leading American non-profit organization engaged in international education, training and development activities in the Middle East and North Africa, has an exciting opportunity for an English Language Manager based at its Amman, Jordan country office.
As a member of the AMIDEAST/Jordan senior staff, the ideal candidate will manage the English language program, which includes program administration and recruitment, training, and supervision of the teaching staff. S/he will be responsible for strategic planning, annual budgets, curriculum review and development, quality assurance and resource management. The position will work with other AMIDEAST/Jordan departments to support new business development and proposal preparation for English language, including budget development.
Like your peers competing for this challenging opportunity, you will have an MA in TESOL, or in closely related field, ten (10) years of professional experience including managing and developing English language training programs, experience in new business development including technical and financial proposal preparation, extensive knowledge of current trends and practices in ESL/EFL and ESP, and native or near-native written and oral English; aptitude in Arabic is highly desirable.
One-year, renewable local contract; salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, and comparable to other education and training institutions in Amman, Jordan; contract subject to Jordanian social security taxes and, if a US citizen, to FICA taxes.
