International School in Jeju seeks experieced educators to work in DORMS
Korea International School Jeju is a boarding school in Jeju, South Korea, established in 2011. Our mission is to provide a challenging American curriculum, promote responsibility to our community and world, and prepare students for learning in university and life.
KIS Jeju dorm staff are responsible for creating an adventurous, nurturing and immersive English-language home environment for our 350+ Korean students aged 10–18. The ideal candidate will be able to confidently design, plan and implement standards-based activities around their own passions and areas of expertise (dance, music, team sports, sailing, debate, forensics...). S/he will also be comfortable providing social and emotional support to students, modeling and maintaining dorm-wide expectations, encouraging English-language learning, and negotiating sensitive intercultural situations. Enthusiasm for the outdoors, patience, and adaptability are a must!
Dorm staff are assigned to a specific grade-level grouping (4/5, 6/7/8, 9/10 or 11/12) and will collaborate with a Korean assistant. Benefits include room and board, a competitive salary with paid holidays, health insurance and a round-trip air ticket to Jeju.
