The Language Institute at Gangneung-Wonju National University is looking for an English Professor for the Gangneung Campus. We are seeking a qualified candidate who is creative, motivated, and can work well in a team.

1. Job position: English Professor

2. Required Qualifications:
• 4-year University Bachelor¡¦s Degree from a Native English-speaking country
• M.A. Degree from a Native English-speaking country
• At least 3 years of ELT experience
• Eligible to receive a valid work visa
• Clean Criminal Record Check with apostille

3. Preferred Qualifications:
• TESOL, TEFL, or CELTA certification
• Education-related major
• 4 years or more of ELT experience

4. Job Duties:
• English Conversation Instruction (minimum: 12 hours per week)
• Special Activity Classes (4 hours per week)
• Vacation Intensive Program (summer/winter vacations: 4-week program, required)
• Extracurricular activities held by the Language Institute

5. Contract Period:
• March 1, 2017-February 28, 2018
• Contract is renewable after successful completion and work performance evaluation

6. Working Conditions:
• Monthly Base Salary: 2.4 million Korean won
• Minimum Teaching Hours: 12 (weekly)
• Overtime pay of 30,000 / hour
• 50% of medical insurance and National Pension Plan will be provided
• Single-person housing on Gangneung campus will be provided
• Severance pay as determined by Korean Law

B. Interview (2nd Round):
• Evaluation of applicant¡¦s job performance abilities
• Evaluation of lesson planning and instruction (demo lesson)

8. Key Dates:
• Posting Period: Feb. 2-8(12pm)
• Announcement of 2nd Round candidates: Feb. 8
• Interview (pre-scheduled): Feb. 9
• Announcement of selected candidate: Feb. 10 • Selected candidate will be contacted by phone
