Lecturer in English | Composition for Multilingual Writers Needed at George Mason University Korea
George Mason University-Korea seeks applicants for a one year position with possibility of renewal for Lecturer of English with a specialization in teaching writing to multilingual writers of English. The position begins the week of August 14th and requires a four course teaching load per semester. Candidates must be authorized to work in Korea. The position will last for up to one year, with possibility for renewal.
The position will be to teach undergraduate composition courses. The candidate must have strong intercultural communication skills. MFA in Creative Writing or PhD in Composition/Rhetoric/Writing Studies, Second Language Studies or Interdisciplinary Studies required. PhD in English also considered if teaching experience engages composition and/or second language writing scholarship. Candidates must have at least two years of experience teaching composition at the university level. The successful candidate will also have one or more of the following: experience teaching international/multilingual students, experience teaching grammar/linguistics, and/or research interests in second language writing or second language acquisition.
