I speak English is an established, busy English Language School with two branches in the suburbs of Elmas and Sestu, Cagliari.
Cagliari is the capital city of Sardinia where, in your free time, you can enjoy sightseeing in the charming historic centre, beautiful beaches and weather, great food and a relaxing Mediterranean lifestyle. The island of Sardinia also offers wonderful natural beauty and great opportunities for outdoor pursuits such as hiking, cycling and water sports.
Our mission is to prepare students to communicate in the English language. We accomplish this by working to high quality standards, attention to detail and enthusiasm for the profession. Best practices are promoted by the school and expected from its teaching staff in all areas of the job. We provide a warm, friendly atmosphere for our students which makes for an ideal environment to achieve important goals together.
We teach English to people of all ages, from pre-school to adults, and to all levels (A1-C2 Common European Framework). The school provides courses of General English, International Exam Preparation and ESP. In addition, the school is a Cambridge Exam Preparation Centre so our teachers can also gain valuable experience in this department
Our opening times are Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 10.00pm. In addition, we offer a reduced service on Saturday (9.30am-1.45pm).
Teacher development is assured through an initial training and induction period, regular observations, feedback and workshops.

Native level speaker
CELTA/TEFL teaching qualification (full-time course with real classroom teaching practice, no online or weekend courses).
All applicants MUST have the legal status to work in the European union.
The ideal candidate will:
- possess at least 2 years’ experience in an English language school teaching young learners and adults in groups and individually
- have excellent interpersonal skills
- be enthusiastic
- be responsive to feedback from students and director of studies
- be reliable and hard-working
- possess an excellent working knowledge of English grammar
In addition, flexibility and a practical attitude are necessary to deal with the day to day demands of a busy school where the needs of the students and the values of the school combine.
The successful teacher will, with the aid of a core text book, be able to plan and prepare interesting, engaging and above all, learner-centred, communicative lessons.
Experience in Italy and some knowledge of the Italian language is an advantage.
A full driving license and car.
end September 2017 - early June 2018 (possibility also to remain for summer school June-July 2018)
