Ardmore Language Schools are experts in providing educational travel courses to junior students from around the world. With over 30 years of experience, we are dedicated to delivering the highest quality courses that include language and cultural programs in our residential and homestay centers across the United Kingdom, United States and Canada. Our main objective is for our students to enjoy their time at one of our centers while experiencing the culture and improving their English in a safe and friendly environment.
We are hiring center management staff at eight different locations throughout the US (near Boston, Honolulu, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, South Florida, Toronto and New Haven, CT). Please note that our summer employment dates vary between centers, but we are looking for general availability for the month of July. Our positions range in length from one to six weeks.All positions include accommodation and full board.
CENTER DIRECTOR: The Center Director (CD) is responsible for the smooth and efficient running of all aspects of the center. The CD must ensure that communication channels are open between the US Head Office (HO) and all managers within their center. The CD is expected to take on and successfully handle a demanding workload that involves implementing, participating and monitoring the day-to-day management of the center. In addition, the CD is responsible for maintaining an excellent working relationship with the host University/College administrative staff.
HEAD TEACHER: The Head Teacher (HT) is responsible for the implementation, smooth running, administration and successful delivery of all aspects of the academic program.
ACTIVITIES MANAGER: The Activities Manager’s (AM) main responsibility is the implementation, smooth running, administration and successful delivery of all aspects of the recreational program which consists of daytime activities and evening entertainment.
WELFARE MANAGER: The Welfare Manager (WM) is responsible for the overall welfare of the students. The WM ensures students are safe, secure and happy while respecting other students, staff and the facilities. The WM allocates staff in rooms across the boarding houses for effective supervision of all students with particular attention to be given to individual students. The WM supervises staff in nightly duties four days a week from 22:00 to 01:00 (subject to change due to operational purposes).
EXCURSIONS MANAGER: The Excursions Manager’s (EM) main responsibility is the implementation, smooth running, administration and successful delivery of all aspects of the excursion program. The program consists of half day and full day excursions to cultural and historical sites as well as theme parks and adventure based excursions.
