Link School of English is a well established and dynamically growing language school for adults in west London. We are a team committed to continuing professional development. The school is currently going through a stage of substantial development and reorganisation. We are currently looking for a new Director of Studies (DoS) / Academic Director.

The role of Director of Studies is ideal for an experienced, Delta-qualified teacher of English who would like to take on the responsibilities of managing a team of teachers and is looking for a new challenge.
THE ACADEMIC DIRECTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Supporting a team of 15 – 20 teachers with different levels of teaching experience
- Overseeing the delivery of high quality English courses
- Maintaining friendly, positive and supportive work and learning environment
- Motivating teachers and monitoring teachers’ performance
- Academic welfare of students and monitoring their progress
- Student satisfaction and retention
- Teacher recruitment and training, encouraging teachers to continue professional development
- Consulting on student placements and testing where necessary
- Teaching English to adults

REQUIREMENTS:
- CELTA or Trinity TESOL, DELTA or Dip TESOL and university degree
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Experience in teaching a range of English courses including: FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, Conversations
- Outstanding teaching skills
- Ability to build and motivate a team of teachers
- Understanding importance and the reasons of student satisfaction
- Safeguarding awareness, first aid training, basic DBS check
- Previous experience in a role of Director of Studies or Academic Manager
- Experience in employee recruitment, teacher training and development experience
- Course planning and material design experience
- Personal qualities: positive, emotionally intelligent, hard-working, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, willing to share knowledge, professional, pro-active attitude, passion for learning and teaching, desire to succeed
