Teaching conditions in france are good with a strong union and year long contracts. Wages vary from 1,400 EUR up to 1,800 EUR, the later usually for the more difficult to find full-time contracts. Living expenses inside Paris are very high, but smaller towns and cities the costs should be lower, the cost of living is estimated at 560-950 EUR per month. Private lessons can be done to supplement income and these normally fetch 20-40 EUR per hour.
