Macau (Macao) is a tiny peninsula located off mainland China, sharing a border with the Chinese city of Zhuhai. It is a an ex Portuguese colony, with Portuguese still spoken, although Mandarin Chinese is definetely the predominantly spoken langauge. Macau is of course famous for it's casinos (which are outlawed in Mainland China and Hong Kong), so most of the tourist interest in gambling where many people travel from Hong Kong and Mainland China to Macau to do.

While there are English language schools on Macau, it would probably be much easier to find a job in neighbouring Zhuhai. English schools are more plentiful, and many Macau locals send their children to schools in Zhuhai, where fees are lower.
